Expatriate team members must be self-supporting and must belong to an organisation which has a Memorandum of Understanding with Friends of China Foundation. We are seeking:
US Representative We are seeking a person in the US who would be willing to represent Firm Foundations Training Centre. Would you be willing to partner with us in this way? This role is not expected to take more than several hours per month.
Responsibilities would include:
• Keeping up to date with latest information
• Distributing newsletters in the US
• Investigating suitable donation methods for US donors
• Speaking on behalf of Firm Foundations

Team Leader This leadership position will administrate Firm Foundations while the Team Leader is away for home assignment in 2009.
Essential capabilities
Administration skills:
*Regulating workloads of local and ex-pat staff
*Dealing with email correspondence
*Writing newsletters about Firm Foundation activities
People skills:
*Leading and supervising local and ex-pat staff
*Leading and supervising volunteers from time to time
*Dealing with government officials from time to time
Advantageous Capabilities
Finance skills:
*Overseeing the accounts (on-the-job training available)
*Corresponding with donors as the need arises
Language and cultural knowledge:
*Mandarin Chinese language will be a distinct advantage (reading, writing and speaking) - translators available
*Understanding of Chinese culture would be an advantage

Opportunities - Short Term
Short Term Specialist Trainers We would like to offer the teenagers a wide variety of training. Depending on trainer availability, he/she could offer a one-week course, a one-day course or even one hour each week for a set period of time. Alternatively, a specialist might be able to come for a longer period to oversee the development of a particular aspect of the project.
Areas for training could include: marketing, publicity, book-keeping, counselling, interpersonal skills, packaging, and much more!
