Why We Exist
Firm Foundations Training Centre was set up to help disabled teenagers in Western China. In China, it is extremely difficult for people with disabilities to find work, so it's often thought that schooling is of no use to them.

Our Goals
Firm Foundations trains teenagers as a team so that, by the end of the training programme, they will have set up their own business and will be able to support themselves and live independent lives.
They will also be able to provide "family" for each other.
We hope that the Firm Foundations they receive at the training centre will have a long-lasting impact on all areas of their lives.
We also hope this will show that people with disabilities can be valuable and self-supporting contributors to society.
